Life has taken me down
some unexpected paths.

If you had asked me years ago what my life would look like today, I probably would have given you a very different answer. Life has taken me down some unexpected paths, through beautiful seasons and some incredibly difficult ones. Along the way, I’ve learned a lot about faith, about myself, and about what it means to keep moving forward when life doesn’t look anything like you thought it would.

I never set out to be an author, but somewhere along the way I began to realize that maybe my story could be useful to someone else. I’ve always believed that what we walk through can become something we use to help others, and I pray that sharing pieces of my story will do just that.

I love a good challenge! Give me a house project and I’m probably going to tackle it—even if I have no idea what I’m doing. I’d much rather try something new and fail than never try at all. I guess that’s a pretty good picture of how I’ve approached life, too.

I don’t always get it perfect, but I love this messy life I’ve built.

Along the way, I’ve earned my real estate license, remodeled houses, owned a wedding and event business, taught piano lessons, and spent ten years teaching music and art. Now my three boys are grown, and I’m figuring out what this next season looks like.
